Interesting report by ABPI about the skills shortage that is facing the UK life sciences industry. The report states that there is a need for individuals with a knowledge of clinical pharmacology, bioinformatics, statistics, data mining, health economics and outcomes. All areas that pharmacists would be ideally suited to with further qualifications. Would expect similar skills shortages is facing the Irish life sciences industry. http://www.abpi.org.uk/media-centre/newsreleases/2015/Pages/111115.aspx
